Jag har lurkat på detta forum ett tag (jättefina renoveringstrådar) men reggade mig för att tipsa er och få lite råd. En bekant till mig, John som jag känner genom mitt intresse för datorer från -60 och -70-tal, har flyttat och vill bli av med en Splitbuss från -67. Han verkar inte vilja ha så mycket pengar och med tanke på vad folk betalar i Europa så föreslog jag om det skulle undersöka om det fanns intresse för att importera den till Sverige.
Så, därför är jag här. Här är vad John har att säga om bussen:
1967 VW Bus. It's seen better days. Um, also, there are a couple of dents on the back (new since this picture was taken). The bumpers are inside, and hopefully the nose emblem too, plus a few parts (including a brand new engine case and balanced crank for the new engine I was going to build).
So I crashed the VW Bus ... just a little. It took off down the driveway while I was trying to roll it off the trailer, alone, around 1 AM on DEC 26. I still say that plan should've worked. I distinctly remember tying knots in both ropes, evidence notwithstanding.
(The dents are on the rib to the left of the hatch, and diagonally across the backup light -- it was a fairly small tree)
När jag nämnde att folk betalar bra här så sa han:
Exactly. Absolutely crazy money for one in good shape. Sadly this one is made of dried dead leaves. Still, it'd look OK stuck in front of a car wash with the business name painted on it, or whatever. I hope someone will take it. Ideally for at least the $124 that the trailer rental cost me, but, whatever.
Vad tror ni? Är det värt att importera, någon som har erfarenhet av det? Ska man vända sig till en importfirma?
Och om ni undrar vad jag får ut av det så kan det hända att John ställer en häftig dator till mig i baksätet
