Cold Balls 2024
This event is open for all Volkswagen type 1,2,3 or 4 (including buggy/kitcar). Alternative engine, also non air cooled VW boxer, is allowed.
Location is as usual at Depå Grande, Rissna. Approximately 40km outside Östersund, Sweden.

The driving will be done on a 3km+ long circuit on ice and on a rally stage in the woods.
We will start on Friday evening on the ice circuit. Having good lighting is then an advantage! We also have an award for the car equipped with the best light, so come prepared! And remember - Lumen/Lux is not always what counts!

On Saturday morning we’ll open up for driving on the ice and in the woods. Saturday evening ends with a superb three course dinner together!

• One car with driver, overnight stay Friday-Sunday, 2x breakfast, dinner on Friday and a three-course dinner on Saturday – 3450SEK (310EUR)
• Co-driver, overnight stay Friday-Sunday, 2x breakfast, dinner on Friday and a three- course dinner on Saturday – 1750SEK (160EUR)

A total of 5200SEK (470EUR) for one car and two persons for the whole weekend!

The overnight stay corresponds to simple standard hostel in bunk beds. If you are in a group, please register together if you want to share room.
Please note, the maximum number of beds and attendees for the dinner at Depå Grande is limited to only 60 persons!

Don’t wait too long until you register, participants with car will have priority.

Maximum one co-driver will be allowed per car at registration.

If you want to join, send a "forum e-mail" with the following information:
* Name (driver + co-driver, if any)
* Car (model and year)
* City/Country

We’ll get back to you with the payment information.

Please note that your registration for CB2024 is not guaranteed until the payment is done. Also note that there will be no money refund if you wish to cancel your registration at a later stage. It is though allowed to pass on the registration to someone else.

Visitors without cars are of course welcome to come and watch, at no cost!

Nu är det slutspurt innan CB2024 kommande helg!

Lite bra information. Ursäkta engelskan…

It has never been this close until Cold Balls 2024!

Some good to know information:

* Arrival to Depå Grande is ok after 15:00 on Friday

* It is 35km to the closest store and gas station from Depå Grande in Rissna. Bring what you need for the weekend and maybe also some extra fuel(?).

* Bring your own bed linnen. Pillow and blanket is available

* Swedish cash (or Swedish Swish) is king. Unfortunately no possibility to use credit card during CB2024.

* Helmet is required when driving on the ice and on the forrest track

* If you bring your own alcohol, it is only allowed on the second floor at the school. During dinner you have to buy your drinks in the restaurant

* ”Rolling dinner” on Friday from 17:00-21:00.

* Driving on the ice on Friday starts at around 18:30-21:00. The advice is that we eat together before going down to the ice

* Fermented herring try-out on Friday evening!

* Sauna available on Friday/Saturday evening

* Driving on Saurday between 09:00-18:00

* Swedish ”Kolbulle”, sausage and coffee/soda/sweets for sale down at the ice on Saturday. Huge lottery! Swedish cash (or Swish) only.

* Saturday banquet at 19:30 (with prize ceremony and lottery)

We are so looking forward to meet you all very soon!
