Oldest surviving UK built VW drag car. Lots of history and magazine features as Humbug (fastest car at BugJam1 in 1987 and then Keith Seume/Autocavan’s Flat Attack).
Is now fully MSA legal and chassis tagged to 10.0 with its Cotsweld cage etc.

Can be bought turnkey with its current 250hp motor (details below) or without....rolling on its Erco wheels and fully refreshed Cogbox race transmission. (Spec below).
Very easy car to drive and runs straight every time with a best so far of 10.91et and 123.89mph.....more to come!!!

New bubble top Aluminium crankcase with thrust conversion to take T4 journal 88mm Scat flanged crank and flywheel with aluminium McCloud floater clutch with Black Magic disc. Autocraft pulley. Scat h-beam rods with arp2000 bolts.Engle fk98 with Magnum Gears and Scat lifters.
Berg 4qt sump with Autocraft pick up. Straight shot oil system with external Scat pressure relief filter head. Forged Race Pistons and long cylinders (just renewed). Comp Eliminator heads 48x38 Ti valves with porting by Lee Maynard and full Newen multi angle valve job. CB 650 springs and Pauter billet roller rockers with dual tapered steel manton pushrods. JC modified 51.5mm Weber IDAs with JPM venturies and velocity stacks. MSD ignition system. (Magneto could be supplied if preferred). JPM stage 2 wasp header and megaphone!!
Dyno tested and set up.
Ready to go......

3.88R&P Cogbox inside a gusseted Rhino case. Just refreshed with a new Weddle aluminium spool and new R&Pinion....new Weddle 1st and 2nd gear mainshaft and idler gears. All new bearings and close ratio welded 3rd and 4th gears with new syncros. Old SwayAway short axles (much stronger than the current ones).

Berg Wheelie bars with 6” M&H slicks and Moroso Drag Specials on the front.
Go racing.....run 10s.....simple!! :-)
