Ska sätta ihop en ny motor till min Bay Dh.
Jag har allt utom toppar på hyllan:
76*94
Original olättat svänghjul, 8-stiftat
1.4 vippställ
Weber 44:or
Engle Fk41
The Engle FK41 is a newer VW Cam for serious engines. It is designed for 1.4-1.5 rockers, and it's specs are .364" Cam Lift, .510" Valve Lift (1.4 Rockers) 269 degrees of advertised duration, and 239 degrees of duration at .050", on a 108 Lobe Center. Compression 7.5-8.1
Nu ska det alltså handlas toppar.
Har tittat på 2 olika varianter.
Den ena är CB 044 roundports (40*35.5):
CB Performance 044 CNC Round Port Cylinder Heads, 40 X 35mm Valves, 85.5, 92, and 94mm Bore, PAIR are designed for small to medium size engines, and are based on the same high quality 044 Castings as other 044s! CNC porting is perfect from head to head! These heads focus on air speed in the ports instead of pure flow bench #s! Higher air speed means more power!
This is a fantastic head for smaller and milder engines, including heavier busses, type 3s, and THINGs. Compared to our ACN "L Series" of head, this Round-Port is around an L4 (which we do not make). So it's a great choice for guys where the L5 is a little too much. This head is good for around 140hp, if you have the rest of the engine to back it up!
The combustion chamber is 66cc if they are not fly cut for more compression. So be sure to do the math on what CCs you need to get the compression to match your cam and application, you don't want to wind up with 6.5:1 compression and a huge cam, the engine will be a pig!
We strongly recommend that you have an exhaust in the 1 1/2 or 1 5/8" primary size to utilize the flow capability of these heads! Failure to heed this advice can result in difficult (IMPOSSIBLE) tuning issues, and likely cylinder head overheating. It also won't make the power you want!
With these heads we recommend valve lifts in the .450-.500" range, which is where they will perform at their best. You don't have to worry about coil bind, they will lift over .900" at the valve! These heads have 168lbs of spring pressure on the seat, 1.500" installed height of valve spring, and 324lbs of spring pressure at .520" lift.
Den andra är Acn L5 road warrior (40*35.5):
ACN Road Warrior Dual Port Cylinder Heads, (L5 heads) 40 X 35mm Valves, PAIR are based on a brand new Revmaster 049 head casting, made from aircraft aluminum alloy! We have seen output in the 180-190hp range with perfect tunes, but normally these are good for 160ish HP. Must have 1 5/8" exhaust! Aircooled.Net has sold our L5s for over a decade, and these are now based on an imported casting, with larger ports than stock, along with a top notch valve job! These come cut with 12mm x 3/4" Reach spark plug threads too! Out of the box these heads have ~60cc chambers. If you would like a larger or smaller chamber, we can provide this for an additional cost to get your compression ratio perfect!
Aircooled.Net has sold the L5 cylinder head for over a decade, and now they are IMPROVED, being based on a recently developed new head casting, featuring 12mm x 3/4" Reach plugs (which prevents cracks at the plug threads), Hi Chrome Valve Seats, 40 x 35mm Stainless Steel Valves, Silicone Bronze Valve Guides, HD Dual Valve Springs, Chromoly Keepers and Retainers, then finished with a top notch valve job.
These flow so well you MUST get rid of the stock heater boxes, and go with a 1 5/8" exhaust, or you'll wind up with difficult (IMPOSSIBLE) tuning issues, and likely cylinder head overheating.
ACN L5s flow over 190cfm on the intakes at .600" lift, yet over 180cfm at .500" Lift! This creates an incredibly wide and strong power band and torque curve that is hard to comprehend! In fact, these L5s are the best HP/Dollar you can buy for your engine, assuming you have the cam, exhaust, and intake to go along with them. In fact, this head used to cost over $1k/pair, but the CNC porting and chamber work has dropped the price to where it is now!
Dual 2bbls with venturis in the 36-38mm range are best in your carburetion of choice, whether it's dual 44s, 45s, or 48s! Combustion Chambers are approximately 60cc in basic form, note that these chambers do NOT have the "Step" present, which makes your calculations and assembly easier! We can flycut the chambers to the head cc you desire, contact us for details
With these heads we recommend valve lifts in the .450-.550" range, which is where they will perform at their best.
Blir L5:orna "för mycket" då jag inte är ute efter de sista hästarna på toppen, vill ha ett driftsäkert lågvarvigt vridmomentsmonster
