Sorry for posting in English. Wanted to share this with you. I bought this car from Bavaria in Germany and drove 2700kms in one weekend with my Buddy Johnny H. (Johnnylongtime) to collect it. I hope to get it MOT'd on Monday (uk bes)
Then narrowed front beam 4" and cosmics.

More very soon.

So that's how they look in the original design
My 68 was nowhere near as nice as yours and the renovation "derailed" a bit, check out the link below if you wish.
Good luck with a nice project.

Thanks for the comments. I did some more work on it the last week or so. I had already done a lot of cleaning and buffing the paint, so it looked like this:
Note I fitted some NOS French headlamp bulbs I had. Then I fitted the missing bonnet trim with new clips:
And some clear indicator lenses with chrome bulbs (not happy with these ones as still reflect amber when switched off.
Then I fitted new bonnet handle seals, new engine lid light seal, adjusted bonnet cable, changed engine oil and set valve clearances. Then I rebuilt the carb from this:
To this:
It still ran bad, so a friend came over and fixed the vacuum advance and fitted a new condenser. I fitted new stainless steel tailpipes and welded a hole in the original vw muffler. Now it drives pretty good. I pulled apart the wiper linkage and greased the spindles, as one was seized. Now it works good
Ordered these NOS mats from Norbert in Germany, last set he had and pretty expensive, but I had to have them!
Knocked out a dent in the rear wing
And ordered a new 4" narrowed beam. I used to make my own beams, but can't be bothered these days - too much work

Today Johnny H. (Johnnylongtime) came over and we got the washers working after a burst pipe, put the drivers door panel on, painted the wiper arms and blades silver and put new inserts in, put a new bulb on the number plate light, repaired a bad contact on the headlamp flasher switch and cleaned and vacuumed out the inside.
The inspection is booked for Monday, so I will let you know how I get on.
How do I get this moved to the projects section? Rookie mistake
Maybe an admin can fix it?
No time to work on this at the moment, but I sold my vw T5 and have been driving this every day whilst I restore my 63 bus ready to go away on holiday.
The sunroof beetle will get a lot of attention when I return in September! A few pics of using the car this summer:

So it's been a long time, I worked on and finished my bus, then split with my wife, but finally car is lowered and I am enjoying driving it again!

Well it`s a bit high but it's a fat chick so it will due
Great work
