Idag fyllde jag på olja i växellådan och reduktionsväxlarna efter att ha bytt packningar p.g.g. läckage. Enligt VW:s verkstadshandbok ska det vara 0,25 liter olja i varje reduktionsväxel och 2,5-3 liter i växellådan.  Efter att ha fyllt växellådan skulle jag hälla i olja i reduktionsväxlarna, men då var de redan fulla med olja. När jag tänker efter lite så kommer oljan från växellådan att rinna ut till reduktionsväxlarna via drivaxlarna och sen fylla på nivån i dem till samma nivå som i växellådan.
Min fråga till någon erfaren, ska det vara så?
Om det ska vara så, varför anger man 0,25 liter olja i reduktionsväxeln om man inte kan reglera det?
Eller är det någon tätning mellan växellåda och reduktionsväxlarlan som ej längre tätar?

Denna omhandlas i en tråd på The Samba:

"when your changing the gear oil, you put the .5 pint in each RGB then fill the trans til it comes out the hole. remember it's the single fillhole is on the passenger side not the 2 plugs on the drivers side. you won't get any gear oil in that way."

"Hi Joshua,
When you change the gear oil, fill the RGBs first. Then fill the center section. When filling this, the gear oil will fill the top of the RGBs and the axle tubes. If you end up with a gear oil leak about the upper 1/3 of the center section gear oil drains down through the axle tubes to the RGBs to keep them filled. Hopefully long enough for you to notice the leak before it becomes a danger when that RGB runs dry and the bearings sieze!
On long trips when we get out of the bus. We take a walk around it to look for any fluid leaks and have caught a few that could have been disastorous, but were an easy fix instead.

Det blir alltså fullt med olja i reduktionsväxlarna i och med att man fyller på oljan i växellådan. 0,25 liter/RGB är ingen max/min-nivå man behöver kontrollera.

Ja,så är det.Har du rätt nivå i lådan så har du åxå rätt nivå i reduktionsväxlarna..

En sån måste jag tillverka och ha till verktygssamlingen. Om tre år när jag river runt bland sakerna kommer jag att undra:
